Absurd Billing system of BSNL Broadband

This is happened to me this month. Yesterday I received my bill for the month of March’08. The net payable amount is Rs. 6095.00. Yes it is Six thousand and ninety five only. And the most interesting thing in the Bil is the fixed monthly charge, which is Rs. 874.05!! I don’t know whether there is a Plan of Rs. 874.05 in BSNL or not. May be they are launching it 
and they experiment it on me. Last month I applied to shift my existing Home 500 plan to home 900UL, so they add a security deposit of Rs. 900 with my bill when I already deposited Rs. 500 on the first bill as that time my plan was Home 500. Now the Usage charges is Rs. 3675.55. Believe me!!! I’m not joking. My father went to the Divisional Engineer of Howrah Mr. C. Niogi for this issue, as I this is not possible to visit him for my office. He told me to my dad that there is a problem with my bill, please write an application mentioning the matter and visit me tomorrow. My dad visited him today, but now they refuse to accept the letter. They told my dad that they could consider thepayment by half of the amount. Means I should have to pay Rs. 3000 for this time. He also told my dad, that the original billing amount is not as much as Rs. 3000, it will be adjusted with my next bill. This is more funny. They will only accept the letter with the paid bill. Now, for their fault I have to pay the amount what I didn’t use. Otherwise they will cut the connection.
The persons sitting their are just abusing their power. For these people, our Government are getting polluted. The general people lost their faith on the government services. How could they keep faith on them? you try to call the customer care, you will hear only the ringing, no answer. The scenario is they are busy in gossiping and chatting , they don’t have time to receive the phones. This is the present status of the number one Broad band provider of India.
